Praise be to the Lord. As the Catholics grew in numbers and the church in Ruwi became insufficient, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said offered a plot of land in Ghala, situated close to the airport. Under the wise direction of Fr. Barnabas Madii, a foundation stone was laid for the Church dedicated to the Holy Spirit on 27th November 1987 by the Apostolic Nuncio Mgr. Louis Robles Diaz, assisted by Bishop Gremoli. Fr. Barnabas became the first Parish Priest, and due to his initiative, the very fine complex was enriched in 1990. View our
